Parasite, a 2019 South Korean black comedy thriller movie, became the first non-English film to win the Oscar, but our president Donald Trump is not happy with it.

At a campaign rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Thursday, Trump mocked the film for being the first non-English film to top the Hollywood award:

"By the way how bad were the Academy Awards this year? Did you see? And the winner is a movie from South Korea. What the hell was that all about? We got enough problems with South Korea with trade. On top of it they give them best movie of the year. Was it good? I don't know."

Rather than the foreign-language film, Trump wished to see the return of Hollywood classic 'Gone with the Wind.'

"You know I'm looking for, like, we're... let's get Gone with the Wind, can we get like Gone with the Wind back please? Sunset Boulevard... So many great movies."

The classic 1939 American historical romance film 'Gone with The Wind' won the best-picture Oscar award in 1940. The film directed by Late Victor Fleming was made with a budget of $3.9 million and collected an astounding box office of more than $390 million.

On the other hand, Parasite, which was directed by South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho was made with a budget of $11.4 million and slammed the box-office of $206.5 million.

Jabbing to Parasite, which made history in Oscars as a foreign film to win the best picture, Trump once more addressed:

"The winner is from South Korea. I thought it was best foreign film? Best foreign movie? No, it was the... did this ever happened before?"

Soon after thrashing the Oscar-winning South-Korean film, the American distributor for Parasite, NEON, derided Trump on Twitter, stating: "Understandable, he can't read."

Interestingly, back when Parasite won the Golden Globe for the best foreign-language film at Oscars 2020, Mr. Bong had said:

"Once you overcome the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films. I think we use only one language: the cinema."

So, NEON responds to Trump by stating that he cannot read and follow the subtitle, which is in native English, is pretty much reasonable here.
