Deval Drops Out From 2020 Presidential Campaign

It was less than three months before the cast of first votes, but Deval Patrick announced his late bid for the 2020 Presidential Campaign on 14 November 2019. Deval, who seeks himself as an alternative choice for the voters who are unsatisfied with other candidates. His campaign manager was Abe Rakov.

He ended his 2020 presidential campaign on 12 February 2020 releasing a statement:

"I believed and still believe we had a strong case to make for being able to deliver better outcomes. But the vote in New Hampshire last night was not enough for us to create the practical wind at the campaign's back to go on to the next round of voting. So I have decided to suspend the campaign, effective immediately."

Deval, who is a former governor of Massachusetts from 2007 to 2015, was also a close ally of former President Barack Obama. During the governance of Obama, he was one of the nominees to fill the US Supreme Court associate justice seat in March 2016.
