The Clark Atlanta University student, Alexis Crawford, who was missing since 30 October 2019, is found dead on 8 November 2019 in an Atlanta area park, Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields told reporters. Also, the authorities have found a couple of suspects.

• Alexis Was Missing Since A Week; Last Seen By Family And Friends, Parents Prayed For Safety

The 21-year-old Clark Atlanta University student Alexis Crawford had gone missing since 30 October. She and her family had their last conversation on the same day that she vanished; however, she was believed to be in good spirits. As per 11 Alive, Alexis asked for some money with her father, Bobby Wright Crawford, through CashApp, and her family sent money.

Likewise, Alexis' sister mentioned that she (Alexis) called around 8:44 p.m. and asked for the weekend plan. After 17 minutes, Alexis posted to her Instagram on 9:03 p.m. and, shared a laughing emojis in response to her Instagram message.

Besides, her roommate at Heritage Station apartments, Jordyn Jones, revealed that she took Alexis to the liquor store at night around 11:30 p.m. and went back home. Later, she saw her returning at 12:30 a.m. on 31 October. However, she was not there when her roommate woke up in the morning.

After Alexis went missing, her parents Tammy Crawford and Bobby Wright Crawford prayed their daughter's safety and hoped that she would come home alive. But now, after her death on 8 November, their dream has been shattered.

• Roommate As A Suspect

Concerning the reports of Atlanta Police, either Jordyn Jones or her boyfriend, Barron Brantley, led the police to Alexis's dead body, which signifies them as suspects. Also, the police department is obtaining an arrest warrant. 

Three days before Alexis went missing, she had filed a police report against Jordyn's boyfriend accusing him of 'unwanted kissing and touching.' The incident stands as the primary reason for the suspects to be the target of local authorities and law enforcement. 

• What Was Alexis Cause Of Death?

The result of Alexis' autopsy has surfaced. Atlanta Police Department, who was the authority engaged in the investigation of Alexis's death, has now spoken the details about the cause of her demise. On the 9th of November, the department released a statement that cited medical examiner's officers and the cause of her death as 'asphyxiation.'

The police claimed that the roommate of Alexis, Jordan, and her boyfriend Barron are the suspects, who led to the dead body but did not specify which one. 

The investigation of Shields shows that the iPhone, identification card, and debit card of the victim were all missing from the apartment except the key and phone charger. The local authorities and law enforcement are working with their best effort on the death of Alexis Crawford.

After the news of Alexis's death surfaced on media, the Spellman College, sent heartfelt condolence. The college department also shared a post on their official Twitter, where they posted a picture of late Alexis. Also, they manifested their sympathy to the friends and family of the departed soul.

Similarly, Clark Atlanta University, too, shared that they were devastated by the tragic demise of their beloved student. Also, they tweeted that their deepest prayers and thoughts are with Alexis's family and relatives. Moreover, the University launched the counseling services in the Henderson Student Center Multipurpose Room until 11:00 pm on 8 November 2019.
