American football star Tyreek Hill isn't called the "Cheetah" for nothing. Known for his voracious speed, the former athlete was termed the fastest junior athlete of 2012, completing a distance of 200m in mere 20.14 seconds.

His career transition to football also turned out to be fruitful as Tyreek was named as a First-team All-Pro punt returner in his rookie year in NFL. The Florida native is now affiliated with the Kansas City Chiefs as a wide receiver and return specialist.

Despite his impressive record in the field, Tyreek isn't free of controversies. He gained notoriety for his abusive behavior towards ex-fiancee Crystal Espinal and son.

Tyreek's violent nature not only cost him his family, but it also got him suspended from NFL for a few months on 26 April 2019. But, he made a stunning return with Kansas City, signing a three-year extension worth $54 million on 6 September 2019.

Accused of Domestic Violence Towards Son

Earlier in April 2019, the NFL star was accused of breaking his three-year-old son's arm, USA Today states. His then-girlfriend/fiancee Crystal Espinal claimed that their son was 'terrified' by his father's actions.

Concerning the allegations, Tyreek responded by saying the claims were false. A day after Kansas' district attorney declined to press charges against the footballer, an audio file of Tyreek denying the accusations surfaced in the media.

In the recording obtained by TMZ, Tyreek could be heard asking Crystal:

"Did I Hit you? Tell me the truth in my eyes right now. Look at me."

After the disclosure of Tyreek's violent behavior, he was suspended from the Kansas Chiefs but later returned after the charges were cleared.

Even though he saved his sinking career, Tyreek lost his family after the event. The alleged child abuse incident led Crystal to file documents for sole custody of their son, Zev. She also demanded child support in July 2019. Additionally, Crystal mentioned that she had no intention of co-parenting her children with Tyreek.

However, this is not the first time the Kansas City player has entangled himself in his family issues.

Back in December 2014, the 26-year-old NFL player had assaulted Crystal when she was eight weeks pregnant with his child, kansascity.com cites. Several sources claimed that she found the messages, which Tyreek had sent to high school girls at Oklahoma State. The discovery had triggered violence in the formal athlete.

He pleaded guilty and even served three years of probation and anger-management course.

Engaged Or Married To Crystal Espinal?

The Kansas City Chiefs receiver got engaged to his longtime girlfriend (now-ex-fiancee) Crystal Espinal in 2018, despite their clashes, allegations, and arguments.

Tyreek and his three-year-old son moved to Kansas City, where he proposed Crystal in a low-key night in September 2018. Besides that, the couple also spent some quality time with their son, Zev.
