Zimbabwe cricket is not in the best of its form at the moment and hasn't been so for the last few years.
Due to continuous financial troubles and lack of resources, Zimbabwe hasn't been able to win a major tournament for a while now. But, despite constant problems, the board has regularly produced talented cricketers who brought more glory to the game.
From Heath Streak and Brendan Taylor to Tatenda Taibu, several players have raised Zimbabwe's name in international cricket. One such cricketer, Sean Williams, has also been on the field for over a decade already. In the last several years, he has been a key player for his team and has also helped Zimbabwe secure a few much-needed victories.
Sean Williams' Bio: Age, Education, Family & More
A Zimbabwean national, Sean Williams, was born in the city of Bulawayo on 26 September 1986 (age: 33).
He comes from a sporting background as his father, Collin Ray Williams, was previously a cricketer and also served as a coach for Zimbabwe's national hockey team. Similarly, Sean's mother, Patricia Mckillop, is a former hockey player for Zimbabwe.
Apart from his parents, Sean's brother Matthew Williams is also into sports. Matthew is a cricketer like his older sibling and is currently affiliated with Matabeleland Westerns and Matabeleland Tuskers.
Not unlike his family, Sean was into cricket from a young age. Eventually, he was chosen to represent Zimbabwe in the 2004 U-19 World Cup. The same year, he was in talks to play for the national team due to a strike by players against the Zimbabwe cricket board. However, Sean didn't take the offer as his father didn't want his son to abandon his education.
International Career: Runs, Wickets; Net Worth Talks
Despite not joining the national team immediately after the U-19 World Cup, Sean Williams didn't wait long to play for the national team. Though he made his ODI debut against South Africa in 2005, it took a while for the cricketer to make a mark in the sport.
But, as his career progressed, Sean emerged out as a dependable batsman as well as an economical and regular wicket-taking bowler.

Over the years, he has been a consistent player for Zimbabwe and has even helped his team secure a few victories. As a part of the Zimbabwe Under-19 team, Sean had led a win against England in the 2006 World Cup, held in Sri Lanka. Similarly, he was also a part of the team- which pulled off an unlikely victory against Australia- during a tri-series between South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Australia.
All in all, Sean Williams is a reliable batsman and equally dependable. In his international career expanding over a decade and a half, he has scored over 5000 runs in international cricket: 770 in Tests (average: 33.48), 3717 in ODI (average: 34.1), and 821 in T20I (average: 24.88). Further, he has scored five centuries in total: two in Tests and three in One Day Internationals with highest scores of 119 and 129, respectively.
Likewise, Sean has also been impressive with the ball, taking 122 wickets in 181 international matches (19 wickets from 12 Tests, 71 from 131 ODIs, and 32 wickets from 38 T20I).
From his career, Sean has also earned a small fortune for himself. Though his net worth is not yet revealed, he probably earns enough to sustain a living as he has no secondary job other than cricket.
