Back in 2015, Pamela Geller organized a Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest in Garland, Texas, and it was enough to set the bounty for her head. A Rhode Island man named Nicholas Rovinski conspired his role to behead Pamela Geller for the same reason on behalf of the Islamic State for which he paid the price later.

A man, who is the supporter of Islamic State had been sentenced to 15 years on the prison for plotting to behead the American activist Pamela Geller is set to be free. On 13 August 2020, the federal judge ordered the release of the convicted felony, Nicholas Rovinski.

Rovinski's lawyers argued that for his release due to his medical conditions, including his cerebral palsy and hypertension. Also, the felony is vulnerable to severe illness from Coronavirus (COVID-19) in recent days. With the observation and overlook of the criminal's health condition, the U.S. District Judge for Massachusetts William Young announced the release for him.

Young wrote his order citing, 'The court concludes that there exist extraordinary and compelling circumstances that warrant granting this motion for compassionate release.'

As per the original charge, Nicholas Rovinski was to serve in prison until 2028. He got charged in 2017 after he pleaded guilty to the conspiracy of his role to kill Pamela Geller for organizing a Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest in Garland, Texas, in 2015.

Later, judge William Young reduced felony's sentence to time served and ordered him the next ten years in home confinement with digital monitoring. The first six months will be his 'strict home confinement.'

Before that, Young denied the prosecutor's request to delay Rovinski's release for 30 days. They (prosecutors) argued that 'most would find hard to fathom under the circumstances, especially in the absence of any concrete rationale for the result.'

Pamela Geller is an American blogger, commentator, and anti-Muslim activist. One of her notable works in she has campaigned against the Islamization of America. Initially, Geller worked as a financial analyst in the 1980s for the New York Daily News. Then, she served as an associated publisher at The New York Observer until 1994.

Besides, she was the senior vice president for strategic planning and performance evaluation at Brandeis University. 

Similarly, as a blogger, she frequently contributes her Muslim-bashing 'Atlas Shrugs' on her blogs and also pushes effort to far-right Breitbart News. In 2010, she launched a campaign in opponent to Park 51 Islamic Center project in Manhattan. Similarly, she

Apart from her career, she was married to her ex-husband Micahel Oshry back in 1990. They have four children together, namely, Claudia Oshry, Margo Oshry, Jackie Oshry, and Olivia Oshry.
