Lexxi Foxx, as in Travis Haley, is the bassist for the popular heavy metal parody band Steel Panther. His stage, Lexxi Foxx’s, appearance is completely different, unlike his name Travis Haley suggests – as he wears a blonde wig, lip gloss, and other make-ups.
Over the decades of successful stints with the band Steel Panther, Lexxi seems to drop out of the band without any breakup rumors. Know more about him here!
Lexxi Foxx Is No More With Steel Panther
Steel Panther recently came out with shocking news to their fans as they released a statement detailing the bassist Lexxi Foxx’s leave from the band.
Sharing a compilation of video footage of Foxx, the band titled it “The End of An Era: - Thank You, Lexxi Foxx!.” Where some words on the screen read, “For all the laughs. For all the metal. Thank you.”
The statement began:
“The great pandemic of 2020-2037 has affected all of us. For some though, it has opened doors of opportunity and been a catalyst to seek out one’s true calling in life.”
The band then talked about how Lexxi also went on to find his newfound passion during the lockdown – “Making ugly dogs pretty.”
The statement continues as:
“Anyways, after nearly 40 years of rocking together and taking Steel Panther from the Viper Room to headlining Wembley Arena, it is with heavy hearts – but great heavy metal memories – that we bid Lexxi Foxx farewell. We love you and wish you a wonderful future putting eyeliner on Chihuahuas.
Steel Panther will continue to rock the world. And though we may not ever find a bassist quite as beautiful as Lexxi, it shouldn’t be hard to find one to match his towering intellect. Good Luck… And goodbye Lexxi Foxx!!” .
The statement also got quite the response from the fans, congratulating and wishing the best for Lexxi on his newfound passion. We, too, hope the best for him.
Career Details Of Lexxi Foxx
Back in December 2018, Lexxi Foxx, 51, stepped out of the band’s upcoming tour to go in for a “sex rehab.” The band released an official statement that talked about how the bassist met several women during his stunning lifestyle and experienced several sexual encounters, which finally caught up to Lexxi for his sex shortcomings.
The bands' official website published a statement which stated:
"California rock and party legends Steel Panther have survived a career of living a decadent lifestyle surrounded by loud music, fast cars and beautiful women. That lifestyle of debauchery and proclivity towards random sexual encounters has finally caught up with the band’s bassist. Lexxi Foxx has voluntarily checked himself in to an undisclosed sex rehab. He will have to miss the current US tour that recently kicked off in Chicago."
Drummer Stix Zadinia also stated:
“We love Lexxi Foxx… and his mother. We support his decision to enter sex rehab. We can’t wait for him to get back on the road with us after he learns how to have sex.”
The history of Lexxi Foxx, a alter ego of Travis Haley, with the band Steel Panther dates as far back as the 2000s. They first came up to the spotlight on the Sunset Strip under the name Metal Shop, soon changing into Metal Skool, before finally becoming the Steel Panther. The band initially gave their stunning talents and skills for the cover of heavy metal songs and later on came up with their original tunes, which was enough to stand against all the other elite Glam acts of the ‘80s era.
Though the kids of the 2000s may not know the funk of the band’s songs, the kids before the 2000s who had heavy influence in heavy metal know how exciting their performances are, even more after they started creating their own tunes. Starting off with a band in 2000, the band went on to release chart-topping songs and albums with their original music and touring all over. After they had a contract signed with Universal 2009, most of it made the band grow even bigger in popularity.
Well, somewhere along the line, the band also had some “fucked up” experience” as the vocalist of Steel Panther, Michael Starr, talked about how their release of the fifth album, Heavy Metal Rules, got delayed. He said that Lexxi Foxx took the hard drive in which they recorded the albums’ songs along with the backup, and he dropped it somewhere on the cement. Such a situation caused the band to re-recording, which delayed the release of the album Heavy Metal Rules.
Some other of their albums include Feel the Steel, Hole Patrol, Lower the Bar, and Ball Out.
The band also had one of their biggest UK tours which dated back in March 2015 at Wembley, after grabbing their highest chart debut, landing at number 12 on the UK Album Chart of their career at the time, with the album, All You Can Eat.
Lexxi Foxx, who celebrates his birthday on 14 July every year, is quite the player when he gets the bass on his hand – with all those follow through and giving some life to the song with his bass playing skills. He also gave some tips for bass playing back in 2017 while he talked about the album Lower the Bar. He said that he used the Kramer brand’s bass usually because of its beautiful slender appearance. As for a while playing it, he “doesn’t really eat, and if I have to, I just throw up after.” Lexxi added, “Being in a metal band, you have to land on your feet, and your instruments have to be the same way.”
