William Regal Reacts To WWE NXT Release

William Regal took to twitter to thank WWE for his time in there and wrote, "Thank you to @WWE for a wonderful 21 year run. You gave a lad who was happy and in wonderland wrestlong on a carnival have a charmed life for 21 years."

He made his WWE departure on Wednesday as they released him from his WWE NXT contract as a part of the major overhaul of NXT and WWE Performance staff. Regal further added in the same post, "No complaints and please no one waste time replying as I won't have a bad work said against the company x. I will add that @WWE saved my life in 1999. when they didn't need to, kept my family fed and took me all around the world. You have my gratitude forever. You allowed me to live a charmed life."

Regal hasn't made further statements for his planned pro-wrestling future but along with him several longtime employees and staffs were let go too from WWE. Some of the names were Brian James, Sarah Cummins, Ryan Katz, Dave Kapoor, Scott Armstrong, Geprge Carroll and more. 

Some theories suggest that WWE has decided to cut anyone who is closely associated with Triple H but definitely their official statement said, "With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we've decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our performances Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best."

However, many fans and wrestlers were shocked to hear about Regal's departure and he received a flood of support from the wrestling world too. Majority of Fans shared their disappointments in the situation as they have seen Regal become a staple of NXT's Black and Gold era.

William Regal WWE Career

William Regal debuted at the young age of 15 for promoter Bobby Baron at the Horseshow Showroom. then, He grew up watching and admiring wrestlers like Terry Rudge and Jon Cortez.

William Regal worked with WWE as WWE's Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting and also the main talent scout for the company. He had also worked on TV as the NXT General Manager. He even has his son, Charlie Dempsey as a wrestler for the NXT UK brand.

He has another stage name, Lord Steven Regal and best known for his time in World Championship Wrestling and wrestled around the countries such as Germany, South Africa, England, and more. He served as General Manager of Raw in 2008 while being the King of the Ring in the same year.

He has won more than 60 titles worldwide that included four WCW and 15 in WWE. He has also written an autobiography, Walking a Golden Mile where he talked about his multiple drug problems and major heart defect during his career.

William Regal had said something interesting in his tribute to the late Chris Benoit and said, "Now all I'm wiling to say is that Chris Benoit was undoubtedly the hardest working man in professional wrestling." Regal lived in the same city as the Benoit faily and he was privy to what was goign on in Benoit's home. 

William Regal Married Life With Wife Christina Beddoes

William Regal married his wife, Christina Beddoes in 1986. She is currently in her 50s and not much is known about her bio details and personal information. William kind of kept his wife's deatils private and didn't shared much.

Together, William Regal and Christina share three children together named Daniel, Bailey and Dane. His youngest son, Bailey has followed his steps and officially signed for WWE NXT UK in early 2021. He had trained with New Japan Pro Wrestling as a Litltle Lion.

William Regal had celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 8 November 2011. He tweeted, "Thank you to my lovely wife Christ on our 25th anniversary. Your the best."

The 53 year old William Regal was born in May 10, 1968 in Codsall, England.
