The man behind many songs, of legendary Elvis Presley, is no more. Mac Davis, a country singer who contributed Presley as a songwriter, died on 29 September 2020 on Tuesday at the age of 78. Davis' manager confirmed the death while his family confirmed the news through tweets. The family tweeted that Davis was 'critically ill following heart surgery in Nashville' which was the cause of his death.
Many artists paid tribute and sent their heartfelt condolences as the singer died, leaving an unburiable vacant place in the music industry. Travis Tritt, who is an American country singer, tweeted:
"Very sad tonight! I just heard that legendary singer, songwriter, and actor, Mac Davis, has passed away after heart surgery. I grew up watching The Mac Davis show and loving his talent. This is heartbreaking!"
Davis was one of the best buddies of Elvis Presley, who first sang 'A Little Less Conversation in 1968 and followed with many other hit songs including In The Ghetto, Memories, 'Don't Cry, Daddy,' and others.
