Helen Reddy, widely acclaimed as a singer of a classic hit 'I am Woman', is dead. I am Woman was 70's feminist anthem, which she credited through her music career; however, she is no more with us. She died on Tuesday on 29 September 2020, at the age of 78.
A statement attributed to her children Traci and Jordan, confirmed the death of the celebrated singer. The statement read:
"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Helen Reddy, on the afternoon of September 29th, 2020 in Los Angeles. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and a truly formidable woman."
The statement further stated, 'Our hearts are broken. But we take comfort in the knowledge that her voice will live on forever' to Grammy Award-winning singer. Helen Reddy was a figure of struggle and hard work as she arrived in New York with just $200 on her name, but she later made her space and fame as well.
A fellow musician Katie Noonan mentioned, 'Helen paved the way for the careers of Australians full stop, but particularly Australian women in America. The fact that she won [a Grammy] in such a huge, prestigious category is just incredible.'
While Helen Reddy is dead at the age of 78, there is no information regarding the cause of her death.

Later, she gained worldwide recognition with her song named 'I am Woman' which was an anthem for many feminists. It charted on no. 1 in 1973, and she won Grammy Awards with the same song. After over three decades of her music career, she retired from performing in 2002 and gave a farewell performance at Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in the same year.

She called off her married life with Kenneth in 1966.
