Coronavirus (COVID-19) has indeed struck immense fear amongst the people worldwide. The same fear led one of the Turkish football player Cevher Totka to murder his own son Kashim, according to him.

Kasim's murder came out to have no vision or mission as he ended up having COVID-19 negative.

But it was too late.

The little toddler Kasim died from his father's hand, unaware of what his crime was.

Why Cevher Toktas Killed His Son?

The news of Cevher Toktas killing his son swirled in the media after Cevher himself admitted that he murdered Kasim. The story was hidden for about ten days before it broke out in Turkey. Cevher turned himself to the authorities on 4 May 2020.

With a keen concern about the murder case of Kasim by his own father, initially, it seemed that fear governed out the incident. Cevher killed Kasim using a pillow in the hospital where he was getting a checkup for Coronavirus after showing the symptoms.

Cevher briefed the incident stating:

"I held a pillow to his head and held it with force for 15 minutes without stopping. My son struggled for a while and when he stopped I removed the pillow. I then called the doctors so as they would not be suspicious."

But, after Cevher admitted the murder, the real reasons behind the case erupted. He confessed the fact that he did not love his son. He stated:

"I never loved him, even when he was born, and I can't state why I have no mental issues."

Cevher initially claimed that Kasim died of Coronavirus, as per CBS Sports. He even called the doctors after his son died and assured that the symptoms had gone worse and worse.

Kasim, who got rushed into an intensive care unit immediately, lost his life after a few hours in the hospital.

Cevher will now be the stake of the grand jury in Turkey for the murder of his 5-year-old kid. Either he will get the capital punishment or will be life-sentenced, sources have told.
