Ammon with his supporter were suspected on misdemeanor trespassing as they refused to leave the hospital where the baby was being treated and it was St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center.

However, his arrest was called as an ambush arrest with no legal grounds by Bundy campaign. The Notorious far-right rancher and independent idaho gubernatorial candidate Ammon Bundy was later released from custody on Saturday and he was scheduled to stand trial on three charges from a previous trespassing case this week.

Ammon Bundy had posted on his twitter claiming that his good friend's grandson was medicaly kidnapped as a medical practitioner called CPS for a missed doctor appointment. He tweeted, "If this happened to them, it could happen to you. We must stand against this medical tyranny."

Aparently, the police said in a statement that the baby had been initially admitted for severe malnourishment in 1 March and the baby was released to parents after treatment. However, then in a follow up appointment the baby had lost a significant amount of weight and was demanded for next appointment. But the parents cancelled the upcoming appointment and could not be located. The baby was finally taken into custody after police pulled over them in a traffic stop.

Moreover, the baby's mom livestreamed her conversation with police before rushing to hospital and she was seen asking the police the reasons for why couldn't she be with her baby during the medical work. The police responded to the mother stating that the baby was in imminent danger and wanted to get him the help that he needed at that moment. The police also asked her to leave from the ambulance and if not, they threatened to arrest her.
