NASCAR racer Ryan Newman, 42, got awake a day after he had a fiery crash during the Nascar race, Daytona 500, on 17 February 2020. He has started speaking to his family members and doctors following the heavy crash. Similarly, sources revealed that Ryan and his family had appreciated the heartfelt concerns for his health across the country.
Ryan underwent the strong supervision and medical care of the doctors at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach.
Ryan was leading the race in the final lap when his car spin and went airborne, flipping multiple times. After the tragic crash, Ryan was pulled off and immediately rushed to the local hospital. Although doctors suggested that his injuries were not life-threatening, he was in a serious condition.

Ryan's Fatal Crash Came After Nineteen Years In The NASCAR History
The 2020 Season of Nascar is the 62nd edition of the racing competition. And it had been almost nineteen years that Nascar had not experienced the fatal crashes since the seven-time NASCAR Winston champion Dale Earnhardt Sr. Nascar's history suggests that Dale too had a tragic accident during the last lap of the race on 18 February 2001.
Unlike Dale's accident, Ryan's crash was called a 'worst-case scenario' in a race.

Responding to Ryan Newman's crash during the Daytona 500 on 17 February 2020, the Ford Performance Motorsports global director, Mark Rushbrook, released his statement representing the Ford. He mentioned:
"Ryan has been an important part of the Roush Fenway and Ford NASCAR program this past year, and he is so respected for being a great competitor by everyone in the sport. The entire Ford family is sending positive thoughts for his recovery, but our first thoughts remain with his family and his team."
Similarly, Denny Hamlin, who won the race (on 17 February 2020), stated that he prayed for Ryan's health.
