Ryan Bader lost his two-division championship after he lost the game against Vadim Nemkov at Bellator 244. He was stopped by Nemkov to capture the light heavyweight title on 21 August 2020.

Nemkov threw a head kick against Bader before a swarm that produced him a couple of more knockdowns. As soon as Ryan Bader's legs went limp, Nemkov slumped against him, which was eventually called off at the 3:02 mark of the second round.

Regarding the fight, the 28-year-old Russian fighter said, 'I was more surprised that the referee wasn't stopping the fight.' 'I sent him to the canvas three times, but I did what I had to do to stop the fight,' he added.

The victory is a fifth straight win for Vadim Nemkov under the Bellator and his first title in a major MMA promotion.

In the case of Ryan Bader, he got into the guesses of varied attacks that were timed to maximum effect. After the start of the second frame, Bader took a straight right that had an immediate impact.

Bader seemed out of stop and overly reliant on his trademark right hand. However, he wound up his right hand, but still, he was looking for the knockout. Throughout the match, he managed to connect his trademark hit once and his double-leg takedown, and it appeared to provide him a path to victory. But it went in vain later.

With the loss, Ryan Bader, age 37, has been off from the entitlement of light heavyweight at Bellator 244.
