Johns Hopkins University will welcome a new face as their next head men's lacrosse coach soon, who is none other than Peter Milliman, a Cornell head coach. Peter, becoming a new head coach for Johns Hopkins, came into the talks a couple of weeks after Johns Hopkins announced that they were moving away with Dave Pietramala after 19 seasons.
Peter served as head coach at Cornell for two seasons and also was an interim head coach during the 2018 season before the temporary tag got removed in May 2018. Peter was an Interim head coach when he led the Big Red to an Ivy League championship and NCAA quarterfinals in 2018. In 2019, the Big Red made their way to the semifinals under his coaching.
The news came officially from Chris Jastrzembski. However, there has not been any revelation about when Peter will start his career at Johns Hopkins. Similarly, the information about his contract and salary provision has been kept wrapped, as of now.
Who Is Peter Milliman?
Peter Milliman is a reported new head coach for Johns Hopkins University. Previously, he got widely known as Richard M. Moran Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse at Cornell University. He has already served as an Associate Head Coach at Cornell University from 2014 to 2017.
Before Cornell, he was Assistant Coach at Princeton University in 2013. Similarly, his working credits as a coach marks his tenure at Pfeiffer University from May 2009 to 2012, Assistant Coach at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2008, and Assistant Coach at Siena College in 2006.

Throughout his career, he got honored as the Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year twice in 2009 and 2011.
Peter Milliman himself was a three-time Division III All-America at Gettysburg, and he was a key player to help win Bullets two NCAA Division III championship games. Besides that, he was the three-time All-Centennial Conference pick and also got selected for the annual USILA North-South All-Star Game.
Concerning his personal life, he is married and has two daughters named Reese and Lake with his wife.
