According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Minnesota Timberwolves guard, Malik Beasley will reportedly serve 120 days in an adult corrections facility once the season is over.

Beasley was sentenced to 120 days at Hennepin County Workhouse on Tuesday due to his arrest in October. Beasley was arrested after he reportedly pointed a rifle at a family that approached his home during a parade of homes.

As part of Beasley’s three-year probation, he cannot possess a firearm and cannot drink alcohol or use illicit drugs. Beasley must also complete anger management and pay a $3,000 fine. Adhering to those terms will result in the felony conviction being reduced to a misdemeanor.

Police obtained a search warrant for the home and found three firearms, including an assault rifle, as well as more than 42.5 grams of leafy marijuana, the district attorney’s office said. Marijuana in that form is illegal in the state.

The search warrant was issued to allow police to look for both the weapon and marijuana, based on the house's smell emanating.

A victim impact statement was read during the remote sentencing on behalf of the family, citing severe emotional trauma and personal and professional disruption following the incident. Beasley also spoke and said, “I am not that person. I humbly apologize for my actions.”
