Lio Rush AEW Contract Expiring Soon

The contract of Lio Rush with All Elite Wrestling is going to expire soon as revealed by him on social media Saturday morning. Lio Rush's AEW contract will expire on 14 February as per some reports and several other contracts of other AEW wrestlers will expire soon and not be renewed. According to some insider, Jurrasic Express member Marko Stunt, GCW regular Joey Janela and former FTW champion Brian Cage are some of the AEW stars whose contracts also expire soon.

It was also reported that the company will not make any official announcements for those who will leave and let the contract quietly expire. So, the AEW wrestler, Lio Rush himself announced his current status from Twitter saying that he is a free agent. He wrote, "On Feb 14th, 2022 my contract will expire with AEW and I will become a free agent. For all booking inquires please email This email address is being protected from spambots. Lio Rush has been appearing on storylines with Dante Martin and Team Taz since debuting with AEW. He had retired after an injury but he soon returned to the wrestling scene. Lio is set to perform on Sunday's GCW show from Hammerstein Ballroom.

Lio Rush's Wrestling Career

Lio Rush first debuted with the ring name LI Green but later changed to Lennon Duffy with all the negative responses from promoters. He trained in 2014 with MCW Training Center. He made his debut at To The Legends and was in a tag team with Patrick Clark. Lio had also won the Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup XV in a six-way elimination match.

He had also won the MCW Tag Team Championship with his partner. Lio then made his debut for Pro Wrestling Guerilla at Only Kings Understand Each Other in 2017. He also took part in a Ring of Honor training camp and made his debut in ROH on Dec 19, 2015. Lio Rush was confirmed to be signed to WWE in 2017 and he also debuted in 205 Live in 2018. He was released by WWE in 2020 and returned to the wrestling signing with AEW after pandemic lockdown.

Lio Rush had shared how he was contacted by Tony Khan while he was filming for MTV's The Challenge in September 2020. He said, "I let him know that I was still interested in coming in if he was interested in still having me be a part of AEW in some capacity and months went by and I was till making a name for myself." Lio added how he kept moving forward and didn't let the WWE release stop his love for wrestling and he debuted for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Super J-Cup tournament.

Lio Rush has won the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament and Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW). He was the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion, former CZW World Heavyweight Champion, and a former two-time CZW Wired Champion.

Lio Rush Married Life With Wife Sarah Lai Wah Green

Lio Rush is married to his long-term partner Sarah Lai Wah Green on 21 December 2018. The professional wrestler confirmed the news himself via Twitter with a snap of him and his wife in front of a black sports car writing, "I just married the love of my life and my best friend Sarah Lai Wah Green."

His wife, Sarah is very devoted and supportive of him and she had written a heartfelt message to him when he made his appearance at AEW Double or Nothing and said, "I've never seen anyone work as hard as you, I'm so proud."

His wife, Sarah is an entrepreneur and owns a small business where she sells hand-rolled incense, and her page on Etsy, 'Oh My Goodness By Sarah' has a perfect score of 5 stars. She has over 20k followers on her Instagram. She has also a podcast with Lio called Orange You Glad You Asked A Question?

The couple became parents to their first child on 21 February 2021 and named the baby Milo. Sarah wrote on her Instagram, "I am so lucky to have two wonderful stepsons, but this is my first pregnancy, I know not everyone is the same, but my experience has been raw, uncomfortable, and humanizing. It is through these discomforts that I have begun to feel powerful as a woman and proud to have endured. Don't believe the bulls**t, don't let anyone make you feel the unfair burden of modesty, it's not always pretty, but we are human and that is beautiful."

Lio Rush and Sarah currently have three children and they are Dakari born in 2013 and Dakai born in February 2018 while Milo was born in 2021.
