His basketball comeback was handed a setback when he was released from rapper and actor Ice Cube’s three-on-three basketball league, the BIG3, due to diminished performance. Being an underrated player but still setting ablaze as the season goes by, he had a significantly good performance till 2011, rivaling those to top basketball players at the time.
In 2011, however, those concerns were put to rest. Following a battle with substance abuse and addiction, Lamar’s career was in a downward spiral, which led to some major health problems for the former NBA player and eventually retiring in 2014.
Apart from his basketball career, he has also written and published a book about himself titled Darkness to Light: A Memoir, which is compiled of his personal life in May of 2019.
Lamar Odom Relation With The Kardashians Family
Lamar Odom expressed one of the biggest regrets over how he had to end his relationship with Khloe Kardashian.
Just one month after their first meeting, Lamar and Khloe married in September 2009. The following year, the former couple starred in their own spinoff series called Khloe & Lamar, which lasted for two seasons and documented their private life as husband and wife. The couple’s relationship went downhill when the basketball player was charged with driving under the influence.

Khloe then filed for divorce in December 2013, which came to hold after Lamar was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel. It was then refilled and finalized in 2016 after Odom recuperated from his grave condition.
In a recent interview on SiriusXM’s “Radio Andy,” on 24 May 2021, Odom spoke about how much he regrets his past actions against his “queen” Khloe. He said about his relationship with Khloe as of now that “Unfortunately, you know, due to my behavior and some bad decisions, we don’t really talk any longer.” He added, “I miss their family tremendously. We have to live with the decisions that we make and then, hopefully in time, people heal and [will] be able to forgive me.”
Despite no longer being a part of the famous family, Odom remains grateful for their support and misses being around them, so he hopes to fix that broken relationship in the near future.
Personal Life Of Lamar Odom
Lamar Odom was previously married to Khloe Kardashian. But his behavior and other issues led their relationship to go downhill, and they eventually split in 2013. Moreover, he recently opened up about the current standing of their relationship on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy that “we don’t talk any longer,” he further continued to express his gratitude for her family to have supported him at the time and hopes to mend the fences with them.
Earlier in March 2021, he filmed himself watching a marathon on his Keeping Up With The Kardashians spin-off Khloe & Lamar on E!. He captioned the post,
“Khloe & Lamar Marathon. My show with my ex-wife I want to thank @krisjenner @khloekardashian @kimkardashian @robkardashianofficial @kourtneykardash for taking me in and loving me without judgement – y’all gave me family and for that, I am forever grateful Thanks @eentertainment for the marathon."
Lamar said, “It’s crazy how time flies. This is the Lamar Odom/Khloe marathon. I just wanted to give a shoutout to E! for giving me the opportunity. A shoutout to my ex-wife, Kris Jenner, Kim … for giving me the opportunity to crossover. I’ll never forget I got married on TV. I get a little bit emotional watching it.”
Prior to his relationship with Khloe, Lamar parented three children with his ex-girlfriend Liza Morales; Destiny (1998), Lamar Jr. (2002), and Jayden (born on 15 December 2005). On 29 June 2006, Odom’s six-month-old infant son Jayden died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) while sleeping in his crib in New York. Their son’s death drove the relationship to end.
Odom, after ending his relationship with Khloe, moved to engage Sabrina Parr in November 2019. However, the following year, Sabrina broke the news on Instagram of their engagement being called off, writing, “Y’all know I’m honest and transparent so I have to be the first to let you guys know that I am no longer engaged to Lamar.”
She added, “This has been a difficult decision for me to make but it is the best for mayself and my children. Lamar has some things that he alone has to work through. I love him dearly but I am no longer able to be by his side while he seeks the help he so desperately needs. I wish him all the best and I am asking that you pray for everyone involved…. -@getuptoparr.”
In an early 2021 interview with Wendy Williams, Lamar was asked if he ever cheated on Sabrina. He then stated, “I did,” but a more surprising fact for him was that “she told me that she had slept with my ex-wife’s significant other.” However, the statement has not been confirmed by Sabrina herself. Even so, it may not be harmful to assume this accusation from Lamar.
