Jeff Jarrett Potential Launch Of Another Major Promotion

The WWE Hall of Famer, Jeff Jarrett is known for his business strategies and he has recently revealed that Game Changer Wrestling has been on his radar long before 2021 during an interview with The Business of the Business podcast

Jeff Jarrett said, "I was well aware of GCW through the lens of FTE, long before I'll say diplomatically, 2021. They have been on my radar for quite some time. A lot of folks know them as, 'oh, the deathmatch,' and in a lot of ways I think, maybe positively and negatively, they've been branded that way."

He also added how the promotion has built up a loyal audience that continues to grow. He stated, "Butt Brett and the team have put out consistent episodic content. All of their programming, they have a very loyal audience , and it continues to grow and grow."

Jeff further explained about the possibility for another major promotion alongsidw what already exists and said, "Now language is an issue, a barrier. That goes without saying. But there is a room for a--- I'll call it a home based promotion around the world. It could be South America, Mexico City. Look at the amount of Hispanics in the United States. They absolutely could thrive. So, I think there could be a Hispanic promotion, there could be a European promotion."

He continued, "The days of it being just looked at from a US lens, in my opinion, they're long gone. It is a global promotion. It's just where is the home base going to be. Because I think there's room for, and I don't want to get too far down the road, but three, four, five, six, seven of those."

Jeff Jarrett has an estimated net worth of $15 million according to Celebrity Net Worth. His first work in wrestling world was as referee for his father Jerry Jarrett's Continential Wrestling Association in 1986. Then, he made his debut after being trained by his father and Tojo Yamamoto the same year. 

Jeff joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1993 till 1996 after wrestling for his father's United States Wrestling Association. Then, he wrestled for World Championship Wrestling in 1996-97 and returned to WWE in 1999. He also re-joined WCW in 1999 but he was fired by Vince McMahon on live air in 2001. 

However, Jeff wrestled for World Wrestling All Stars from 2001 to 2003. Then he joined with his father to create J Sports and Entertainment and started Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2002. He has also wrestled for the Mexican promotion Aistencia Asesoriay Administration since 2004 off and on. Furthermore, Jeff wrestled for TNA on and off and lastly became the investor. 

He started Global Force Wrestling in 2014. He was the WCW World Heavyweight Champion four times and NWA World Heavyweight Champion six times. He also won the WWF Intercontinential Champion six times.

On the My World With Jeff Jarrett podcast, Jeff had shared how he re-negotiated his contract with Jim Ross and said, "He wanted to cut my $350,000 to $250,000 after I had a two year deal, and my downside was because I was taken off the road for a large part of 1997 and early 1998 in that contract year. It was we're starting a new slate in October, and your downside is gonna be $250,000 as opposed to 4350,000."

He said that he really didn't want to complain about pay-offs but when the contract shift happened into that deal one year. He said, "I didn't let it be known. I didn't go to the dressing room and bitch and complain and moan about this, but that was a really hard pill to swallow."

Jeff Jarrett got married to Kurt Angle's ex-wife, Karen Smedley in 2010. He entered a feud with Kurt Angle on thr real life marriage controversy in 2011. Karen was marrie to Kurt Angle from 1998 to 2008. However, Jeff had talked about how he has positive relation with Kurt Angle and shared in an interview with Chris Van Vilet, "In my world, that's family. It's personal. It goes without saying, in 2010, I spent more time in the ring with him, he has spent Halloweens at my house. H ehas five kids, that's hard to imagine. I've got three biological. he's got five biological."

Jeff further added, "It's family. Obviously, we all have our ups and downs, our ins and outs. But heck, I have that with my buddy at the gym who is always late and it aggrivates the hell out of me. So it is what it is....(On whether or not he saw the storyline coming) No, the short answer is no. But it did, and it transpired. Look, that was a unique time behind the scenes."

 But before that, Jeff Jarrett was married to his late wife, Jill in 1992. His first wife, Jill was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1990s and succumbed to the disease in 2007. Then, Jeff and Kurt's ex-wife, Karen began to have a relationship after his wife's death. They got engaged in April of 2010 and tied the knot in August of the same year.
