Derrick Lewis went through a record-breaking knockout win at UFC on 8 August 2020. He fought against Aleksei Oleinik, and both of the fighters were on two-fight winning streaks into 8 August's ESPN+ 32 main event. Lewis, who ranks fourth in the official UFC heavyweight rankings, favored over Oleinik, who ranks tenth in those rankings.

Lewis started with a flying knee but found himself in the patented chokes of Oleinik later. Derrick Lewis, who initially thought about tapping, mentioned that he denied becoming his opponent's (Oleinik) 47th submissive victory. Eventually, he lasted out the round.

Oleinik usually spends his time between rounds on his back with his feet against the cage, which was not an acknowledgment of Lewis before. But when he noticed, he got inspired and opened the next round with another flying knee. And he threw avalanche of punches on Oleinik that ended the Fight.

With the knockout win over Aleksei Oleinik, Lewis topped the UFC heavyweight record book with 11th knockout win. And he is ready for his next fight in the UFC event.
