Brian Urlacher's recent Instagram story has attained some controversies around. Urlacher compared NBA players boycotting playoff games to Brett Favre's Monday Night Football performance one day after his father died.
After the Bucks-led boycott of Wednesday night's NBA games (26 August 2020) and the eventual postponement of all NBA games on 27 August 2020, Urlacher came with a message on his Instagram story. He wrote:
"Brett Favre played the MNF game the day his dad died, threw 4 TD's in the first half, and was a legend for playing in the face of adversity. NBA players boycott the playoffs because a dude reaching for a knife wanted a felony sexual assault warrant, was shot by police."
However, things never went as Urlacher thought. He was quick to garner the critics and controversies about his message on Instagram.

Even Urlacher's team did not support him. Chicago Bears has already said to distance themselves from the Hall of Fame linebacker on Thursday. The Bears issued a statement on 27 August 2020 which read, 'The social media posts in no way reflect the values or opinions of the Chicago Bears organization.'
Similarly, the former Bears player Matt Forte responded to the Instagram message of Brian Urlacher.

Furthermore, Urlacher's post created a rivalry between two schools of thought. Some praised him for sharing his opinion while others called for Urlacher to be 'canceled' from the team.

Brian Urlacher, age 42, has been married twice throughout his life. Back in a decade, he was married to his first wife named Laurie Urlacher. The Urlacher couple first met in 1999 during a football game and later hooked up.
