The talks of her marriage first surfaced after she got spotted with a wedding ring during the tour to Pyongyang Baby Home and Orphanage on New Year's Day with her brother in 2015.

Kim Yo-jong was born in Pyongyang, North Korea, on 26 September 1987 (age: 32) to her late father, Kim Jong-il. During her early life, she pursued her education at Kim Il-sung University, graduating in Computer Science.
Kim, now, serves as the vice director of the Workers Party's Propaganda and Agitation Department and she got places at the US Treasury's Specially Designated Nationals List back in 2017.
