Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon (Danmachi) is a Japanese light novel series based on genres like adventure, romance, and fantasy. Fujino Ōmori wrote the light novel while Suzuhito Yasuda portrayed the concepts. Fifteen Tankobon volumes have been issued so far as of 2020 under their GA Bunko imprint, which was published by SB Creative.
The novel series has been adapted into two manga series. The first manga adaptation was written by Fujino Ōmori, while Kuneida illustrated the series. The first manga series made its serialization in the Square Enix's seinen magazine named "Young Gangan" from 2 August 2013. Similarly, the 2nd manga series was written by Masaya Takamura, which began its serialization in Square Enix's online manga magazine called "Gangan Online" from 14 August 2014.
On the cast side, the manga series was made into an anime adaptation by J.C.Staff, which made its debut from 4 April to 27 June 2015, comprising a total of 13 episodes alongside OVA. The anime adaptation was directed by Yoshiki Yamakawa, while Hideki Shirane composed the animated series. The first opening theme song of this anime series was "Hey World" by Yuka Iguchi, while the ending theme song was "Right Light Rise" by Kanon Wakeshima. An OVA episode was also released on 7 December 2016.
After the successful hit of the first season, a 2nd season was also released, which made its debut from 6 July to 28 September 2019, comprising a total of 12 episodes alongside Ova. Hideki Tachibana directed the 2nd season of the anime. The 2nd opening theme song of this anime series was "Hello to Dream" by Iguchi, while the ending theme song was "Sayakana Shukusai" by Sora Tob Sakana. Funimation licensed the animated series. An OVA episode was also released on 29 January 2020.
Additionally, the anime season also got a spin-off anime adaptation titled 'Danmachi: Sword Oratorio' comprising of 12 episodes and an OVA. It was released from 14 April to 30 June 2017.
After the flourishing hit of this anime franchise, a movie adaptation was also released titled "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon? Arrow of the Orion". It was released on 15 February 2019.

The third sequel for Danmachi was announced on 27 September 2019. The anime series rose to fame and gained a lot of reputation due to its decent animation of awesome fighting sequences, emotional depths regarding each character, and their comedic routines.
The official website and Twitter account of this anime franchise announced that the release date for Season 3 of this anime franchise is already under the development process and is set to be released in the summer of July 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date of this anime series was postponed and delayed to October 2020.
It also gave a teaser visual for the third season depicting the concepts.
The Plot of the 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon'
Danmachi spins around a boy named Bell Cranel accompanied by a goddess named Hestia, where he trains in a dungeon to become the top rank adventurer in the fictional city of Orario. While adventuring on a mission, Bell got save by an adventurer named Aiz Wallenstein. With never giving up attitude, he focuses on becoming the best adventurer possible in this romantic comedy series.
The plot of the third season of Danmachi includes Bell Cranel correlating in a war where he is trying his best to stop both factions. The new season includes the brand new characters alongside a new god who acts as the main rogue that's manipulating the scenes for his amusement.

Bell Cranel is the main protagonist of this anime franchise. He is the sole member of the Hestia Familia and a novice solo adventurer. He has white hair and red eyes. He possesses unique skills called "Learis Freese" and "Argonaut," which allows him to quicken his growth and advancement based on the strength and durability of his emotions while the latter enables him to empower his attacks on hazardous situations greatly. His weapon is a pair of twin daggers.
•Hestia
Hestia is the goddess that hosts the Hestia Familia. She chooses Bell Cranel as her family member after she met him in the alleyway. Even though she is a goddess, she takes normal jobs to pay back for the money she loaned from Hephaistos to get Bell a knife that only he can use. She has shown affection and is in love with him.
•Aiz Wallenstein
Aiz Wallenstein is the main female protagonist of this anime franchise. She is a gorgeous, charismatic, and powerful swordswoman belonging to the Loki Familia. She is a level 5 adventurer who defeated many monsters on her own. She has blond hair and golden eyes. She possesses wind magic, which allows her to do 3-dimensional fighting. She takes an interest in Bell to find out why he is so strong and helps him whenever he is in trouble as well.
