Shayne Lamas is an American reality television personality and actress. She is known as the winner of the twelfth season of The Bachelor.
She was born on 6 November 1985 in Santa Monica, California, USA, as Shayne Dahl Lamas, to parents Lorenzo Lamas and Michele Smith. She is currently 36 years old. Her brother is actor AJ Lamas.

In May 2021, Shayne Lamas and Nik Richie announced via Instagram that they are ending their marriage after 11 years. Over a month after they announced their split, Lamas officially filed for divorce.
While the two managed to make things work over a decade, they have ultimately decided that the best decision would be to part ways. And Lamas wants to remain a “team” as they co-parent their two kids.
“But I can honestly say after 11 years of marriage and two beautiful and thriving children, it was a successful decade,” Lamas said. “Nik and I are best friends and will continue to raise our children as a team but our marriage has been empty for years. Nik and I have not been intimate in almost a year and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that will take a toll on any marriage no matter how much respect you have for each other.” She added that the decision to split was “pure common sense” and said, “What we once had in no longer there.”
On 15 June 2021, Page Six reported that Lamas officially filed for divorce. She reportedly files for divorce the day before in Los Angeles.
The reality star Lamas announced the news of their split on Instagram in May, writing, “Friends & Family, after 11 years together Nik and I have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce, we have nothing but love and respect for one another and will cherish the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of,” alongside a photo of herself and Richie wearing boxing gloves.
“This is just the situation of two people growing apart,” she continued. “We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate our new normal within our family.”
Following the divorce announcement, Nik unfollowed her on social media and deleted all her photos from his Instagram account. As the reports reached the public, they commented that the pair would reconcile, but it may not be possible after Lamas’ recent divorce filing.
Shayne Lamas Married Nik Richie A Day After Their First Meet
Shayne Lamas and Nik Richie first linked on 17 April 2010 and got married within 24 hours of meeting each other on 18 April 2010. They tied the knot at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
The couple reportedly went to the chapel on their own and got a Michael Jordan package; that included a giant bridal bouquet, groom’s boutonniere, a garter, traditional music, a witness (if necessary), and a DVD of the ceremony.
After their wedding, the couple took to social media to celebrate the big night. The couple then went on to spend their honeymoon at Vanity Nightclub in the Hard Rock Hotel.

Prior to her relationship with Nik Richie, Lamas was engaged to her co-star from The Bachelor, Matt Grant. Grant picked Lamas from 25 female contestants vying for him. In the show, The Bachelor’s conclusion, Grant not only presented the winning rose to Lamas but also got down on one knee and popped the question with a 2.85-carat platinum and diamond eternity ring, as reported by PEOPLE.
Unfortunately, their romance did not last as they went on to part ways. “We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions,” the two said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time. “We truly care about each other and will remain close friends.”

Shyne Lamas gave birth to their daughter Press Dahl Lamas-Richie in November 2011. She announced her pregnancy in January.

Shayne was rushed to the hospital after collapsing in her Orange County home. She furred a pregnancy complication which resulted in the miscarriage of the couple’s 20-week-old son. After the miscarriage, Richie said he held the boy then named the child in order to fill out his son’s birth certificate. He also penned a letter to his son, whom they named Rex Jagger Lamas-Richie, TMZ reported. Richie wrote a touching “thank you” letter to his son, whom he addressed as “R.J..”
Later, in July 2015, the pair welcomed their second child together via surrogate. Interestingly, the surrogate mother was Shayne’s stepmother, Shawana Craig. Craig and Lamas’ dad, actor Lorenzo Lamas, wed in April 2011. Craig stepped in after Shayne had a miscarriage in February 2014. “Shawna’s not just my stepmother. She’s like a soul sister,” Shayne told Closer. “She’s an angel that blessed my whole family, including my father.”

Lamas shared the news with a cute video of the couple’s daughter, Press, spinning in a chair. “She must be bored being cooped up in the house all day,” she captioned the Instagram clip on 14 July 2015. “@presslamas brothers eat, sleep, nap schedule has put a short damper on her thrilling life.”
Lamas and Richie’s son “arrived via natural water birth,” the couple told Closer magazine. “Everyone is healthy and happy.”
