Ricky Duran is the top four contestants of the 17th season of The Voice 2019.

On the 16th of December 2019, Ricky tuned to his original song A Woman Like Her, which Blake Shelton described it as the best performance of the season.

Previously, the rock artist had made his way to the semi-finals tuning the classic Beatles' hit Let It Be on the 9th of December. After his blazing performance, Blake stated Ricky gave the vocal performance of his life. 

Before that, he sang Born Under a Bad Sign by Albert King on the 3rd of December 2019. 

Ricky had originally auditioned on the sixth season of the singing competition, where he had no chairs turned on him. Coming to 2019, he again made his try in the competition with the guidance of his friend. And the rest is history. 

Apart from that, Ricky has composed several original songs. Some of his songs are Dreamin', As The Sun Goes Down, Tattoo Tears, and many others.

Ricky's Family Grief; Details On His Parents

Ricky Duran was born to his late parents, Ricardo A. Duran and Odette A. Duran. They raised Ricky along with his three siblings, namely, Natalie Maigaire, Julia, and Maria, in Boston. Ricky's sister Julia is already a married lady, who tied a knot with Mike Tomaiolo in June 2015.

The 29-year-old pop singer had undergone the grief of his family. His father took his own life through suicide on 23 July 2012. After six years, Ricky lost his mom, Odette, on 18 June 2018. She went for an outrageous battle with breast cancer and had chemotherapy session in September 2014. Unfortunately, Odette could not survive.

His late parents originally hailed from Guatemala, and they immigrated to Massachusetts when they were in their twenties. Ricky's father taught him to play guitar and even played together in a band. Later, his dad served as a manager of his college band named Blue Light Bandits.
