Jan had custody of his three children. She became the stepmother of his three children and loved them to the moon and back. Margaret and Jan were blessed with one kid together in 1996. After being together for 19 years, the couple got divorced in 2013.
She felt regret for letting divorce from Jan sour. Her relationship with step-children went so worst. Two of her stepson did not have talked with her for six years, which really made her heartbreak. Jan and Margaret are still close friends, but her step-kids had not forgiven her for the affair she pursued with Joe.

We went out — you would shop the store, go back to his apartment and, of course, he wanted to sleep with me. He was like, 'Don't go home,' and it was very awkward, but I did it. It was a weird dynamic and it was a very different time."
