The guitarist of the Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer, Michael Clifford was accused of sexual allegations. He came with an apology for his sexist comments that he posted on Twitter.
It all happened after the internet dug out his tweet history and found the sexist and homophobic posts.

Twitter User Withdraws The Sexual Assault Accusations
A Twitter user '@sophiecth5' who alleged Michael being a sexual predator has withdrawn her claims and has apologized to the guitarist. Michael has already denied the allegation saying it was untrue.
"I am heartbroken to read these things that are being said — they are just BEYOND untrue. I was never allowed in the crowd I only ever watched in front of the house — and I would've never EVER done that. I'm so f***ing upset."
"I am a different person now with a much better understanding of the world. Some people have access to a digital megaphone a bit earlier than they should, unfortunately, I was one of them."
"I am so sorry for hurting anyone. It was never my intention. I was so naive and I am embarrassed and beyond sorry. I will continue to be better and I will continue to change. I never want to hurt anyone again."
As per Variety, the Twitter user '@sophiecth5' whose tweets are protected withdraw the claims stating:
"Today, I found out that I’ve been wrong for almost seven years. Today I found out that my offender is dead, my offender IS NOT MICHAEL CLIFFORD. HE NEVER TOUCHED ME, HE NEVER SAID THOSE THINGS TO ME. He’s innocent."
She also apologized to Michael for the damaged caused by her.
What Were The Allegations Towards Michael Clifford?
The tweets resurfaced after '@sophiecth5' claims Michael of sexual assault, and people got a clue to go against him, citing '#michaelcliffordisoverparty,' which started getting trending on 12 June.
His comments included, 'I'm so bad at making sandwiches, I would be a terrible woman,' that got off to height. Moreover, he called his bandmate Luke Hemmings 'f****t' in numerous tweets. Also, there are several offensive behaviors on his Twitter archive, out of which one is wearing a Confederate flag T-shirt and saying Calum Hood, his bandmate, was about to rape him in a Keek video.
Besides that, Michael Clifford was accused of several sexual assault cases to the underage girls back in 2013 and 2014.
On 14 June 2020, many of those accusations re-raised via anonymous accounts claiming Michael as a sexual predator when he toured with the famous band One Direction.
A user with name '@sophiecth5' on Twitter started the allegations against Michael Clifford, stating that she was 14 years old when he reached up to her mini skirt. Although many people saw the truth, no one had guts to speak for her.
Another user with the name '@knowyoureta' added to the content of the scandal list. She wrote that her mutual friends told her that Michael Clifford used to invite underaged girls to his hotel room/bus tour after shows. One day she got invited, and she reached with excitement to meet up with the celebrated guitarist. After all, Michael started touching inappropriately, she added. Calum Hood, who was there too, stood up laughing without providing any help to the girl.
The glimpse of Michael's sexual assault is supported by the interview they gave to The Rolling Stones back in 2014.
At the time, his bandmate Luke Hemmings mentioned, 'When you put four young dudes on a tour bus, playing theaters, then arenas, you're going to have sex with a lot of girls, I guess. We had a good time.'
