The Los Angeles Country Sheriff, Alex Villanueva, confirmed that all nine passengers died on the spot, including the pilot. However, the victims' pending identification on the notification of their family members is declined by the authorities.

"It would be extremely disrespectful to understand your loved one has perished and you learn about it from TMZ. That is just wholly inappropriate so we are not going to be going there. We are going to wait until the coroner does their job."

Reacting to the crash, a team was sent to the site (Calabasas, California) on Sunday evening; however, the crash site was hard to access, and firefighters have to hike to the area.
