They called their engagement off, after a day of being engaged, on 11 March 2020. The couple was together at Peter's home in Los Angeles, where they broke off their bond. He mentioned:
“I want to continue to be that for you regardless of how hard this is going to get. I have no doubt that I’ve fallen in love with you,” Peter said. “There’s no doubt. I’m just struggling. It’s just for me … when I said yes to you, I said yes to a partnership and I said yes to us being teammates. But if you can’t give me that love in return, that’s not a relationship. Do you know? Like I told you I would stay by your side even if it killed me and it has to be 50/50.”
Nevertheless, Peter admitted that his feelings for Madison Prewett, somehow, was a factor to end his relationship with Hannah.
After the breakup, Hannah reached on Instagram to reveal that she won't accept anything less than a hundred percent of someone's heart. She wrote:
“I made a commitment to myself to be consistent, genuine, and truthful through this journey and I remained that way to the very end. Allowing yourself to love someone is a vulnerable place to be, but I am thankful that I gave myself a chance in finding love regardless of the outcome.”
