Nine months after the filing of divorce, the story behind the scene of Chrishell Stause and her estranged husband Justin Hartley came over. Back in November 2019, Hartley had shocked both fans and his wife by filing a divorce paper all of sudden. The 'Selling Sunset' cameras prevailed, capturing the aftermath of the split.

The former married couple remained mum regarding their separation for nine months, but recently, in August 2020, Chrishell Stause shared her part of the story on media.

Speaking of the split, Stause mentioned:

"I’m just kind of in shock with it all. I’m trying to keep it together, but it’s just a lot all at once 'cause everybody in the whole world knows like at the same time that I knew. Have you ever been knocked over by a wave and you don’t know which way to swim to get up?."

On a confession clip, Stause got into tears as she said:

"I don’t think anyone ever gets married thinking that they’ll get a divorce. I’m definitely a hopeless romantic, and I feel stupid even saying that out loud."

In an episode before the scene, the former couple was all beautiful. Stause hosted a fundraiser, where she was seen auctioning off "coffee with Justin Hartley." Also, she was proudly telling a potential bidder, "this is my husband, by the way."

However, things turned upside down, and their relationship no longer prevailed. Stause mentioned:

"We were excellent that day. I mean, I thought we were totally fine."

She further revealed:

"We had a fight that morning over the phone. I never saw him since. We didn’t talk things through. Before we had a chance to figure anything out, he’d filed. I found out because he texted me…that we were filed. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew."

Chrishell Stause was married to Justin Hartley for nearly three years. After dating for four years, the former lovebirds tied a knot on 28 October 2017 and cherished their married life for almost three years until 2020.
