Bijou Philips is now in shock after the arrest of his husband, Danny Masterson. Yeah, That 70's Show's actor Danny Masterson got arrested in Los Angeles. And, it left Danny himself and his wife, Bijou Phillips, in a massive surprise as it considered nearly 20-year old allegations resulting in him in charges. Nevertheless, the actor's family is comfortable with the situation, hoping that the truth will finally come out one day.
Danny is charged with a rape case for which the Los Angeles County District charged him with three counts of rape. The authorities took him on their account at 11:30 a.m. PT on 17 June 2020. However, the actor got released on a $3.3 million bail, reported the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department website.
As per District Attorney's Office, Jackey Lacey, Danny came to the contact with authority with forcibly raping three women in separate incidents that happened between 2001 to 2003. The documents say that Danny, whose real name is Daniel Peter Masterson, is accused of raping a 23-year-old woman between January and December 2001.
Similarly, he got alleged of raping a 28-year-old woman in April 2003 and a 23-year-old girl between October and December 2003.
On the other hand, Danny's attorney Tom Mesereau sang the positive side of the actor. He said;
"Mr. Masterson is innocent, and we're confident that he will be exonerated when all the evidence finally comes to light and witnesses have the opportunity to testify."
The District Attorney Office declined to file the charges of sexual allegations against the actor in the other two cases, including the one with insufficient evidence and another that relied on the statute of limitations for the alleged crime.
Danny's arraignment will be held on 18 September 2020. And if convicted of three counts of rape, he will have to serve up to 45 years to a life sentence in the state prison.
