Violet Evergarden revolves around Auto Memory Dolls (AMD), where people initially employed these dolls for their everyday uses. The toys were created by a specialist named Dr Orland to support his blind wife Mollie in composing her novels, after which these dolls were rented by other people who needed their assistance.

The story reflects Violet Evergarden's journey of rejoining back into society after the conflict was over, and her quest for her life's purpose. Since the war was over, she is no longer a soldier.

Being scarred and emotionless, Violet takes a job as a writer while trying to understand the meaning behind the word that her major told her, 'I Love U.'

The outline of Season 1 of Violet Evergarden has been done with great details, including Major Gilbert Bougainvillea, who handles Violet with love and kindness. But, due to his strict nature being in a Bougainvillea family, he could be seen grappling with himself as being non-emotional.

Gilbert trained to be a soldier since his birth, which led him to accept his fate as a veteran. So he stays stoic, harnessing many feelings like sin, regret, anguish, disappointment, anger, and grief.

Due to the success of this novel anime series, Netflix has agreed to release the second season. However, the release date of Violet Evergarden Season 2 on Netflix is yet to be announced.
