The world of anime is growing fast day by day, giving many exciting projects for anime fans to decipher. One of the projects that fans have been eagerly waiting for is the new season of The Rising of the Shield Hero. Due to captivating storylines and high-quality graphics, the anime got extraordinary recognition from fans. The Rising of the Shield Hero (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari) is a Japanese light novel series based on romance, dark fantasy and Isekai genre. Yusagi Aneko authored the light novel series. Media Factory has published the series in the user-generated novel site named Shosetsuka ni Naro which depicted the novel as a web novel category. Seria Minami portrayed the light novel with an expanded storyline comprising a total of 22 volumes.
The light novel was made into an anime adaptation by Aiya Kyu, who composed the series. The animated series was directed by Takao Abo, which made its debut from 9 January 2019 to 26 June 2019, comprising a total of 25 episodes. Kinema Citrus produced the animated series.
The first opening theme comprising of 1 to 13 episodes was "RISE" by Madrid, while the ending theme was "Kimi no Namae" by Chiai Fujikawa. The second opening theme comprising of 14 to 25 episodes was "Faith" by Madrid, while the ending theme was "While I'm Next to You" by Chiai Fujikawa. Both Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the animated series.
After the successful hit of the first season, the anime is scheduled to release a second season.
Release Date Of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2
Since the first season of the anime ended its airing on 26 June 2019, Junichiro Tamura, who is the marketing producer of the animated show, declared on Reddit AMA that the reputation achieved by The Rising of the Shield Hero has completely transcended his expectations. He proclaimed that the anime series would get two more new seasons.
At 2019's Crunchyroll Expo, it was announced that the anime franchise would install for a second and third season. It has already been validated that there will be a Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero and is already under development.

The second and third seasons of this anime franchise has many secrets to be revealed. Some of them include the true meaning behind the so-called Waves, who are the heroes that appear from another dimension, mystery about the seven-star heroes.
As a live stream provided by the Crunchyroll, the picture highlights Naofumi and the others gazing at the ambiguous town on a turtle's back. The Shield Hero and his crew will now come across another set of tests and trials in the imminent episodes.
But for now, the official date for the release of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is yet to be determined. But various sources claim that it is presumed to be released in December 2020 or January 2021 following with the third season sequel.
The Plot Of The Rising of the Shield Hero
The Rising of the Shield Hero focuses on the four cardinal heroes summoned from parallel universes of modern Japan on the kingdom of Melromac, and are specified to the task of saving their kingdom while fighting inter-dimensional swarms of monsters called "Waves."
Each of the heroes is individually offered with their legendary equipment like sword, bow, spear, and shield to defend the kingdom of Melromac.

While the other heroes are bestowed with offensive types of equipment, Naofumi Iwatani is bestowed with a shield that can be deemed as a piece of sole defensive equipment. Unlike the other heroes who are fully backed by the kingdom with strong allies, Naofumi's luck shifts to the worse.
Naofumi faces a more critical state after his single friend exposed him to false accusations, who is the kingdom's Princess, Myne. She double-crosses him while stealing all his belongings, leaving him void of all support and accumulations of stocks from the kingdom falsely blaming him for sexually violating her.
The royalty ridicules him alongside neglected by everyone from his fellow warriors to provincials, a now pessimistic Naofumi is forced to train as a hero alone. Due to the advice from an unknown slave trader merchant, he buys a tender raccoon girl shaped demi-human named Raphtalia.
Alongside Raphtalia, Naofumi buys an egg from that trader as well, which hatches into a bird-like Filolial whom he names Filo. As they attain the trust and appreciation of the people whom they saved with their courageous actions, Naofumi, and his comrades work mutually to carry out their purpose in life as protectors of the world as they unravel the riddle of the Waves.
Naofumi dispenses with his internal darkness caused by the schemes and plots from the royalty to make him shunned.

Raphtalia is a demi-human based raccoon girl whom Naofumi bought from a slave trader. In contrast with Naofumi, she is the main heroine. She has feelings for him, but can't admit since he treats her with care. As time passes by, she becomes strong enough to become his sword, and they both try their hard to live the life they want. Her magic attribute is light and dark.

Filo is a bird-like girl whom Naofumi bought from a slave trader. Filo is destined to be the queen of Filolial. Her special trait is that she can transform freely into a human alongside super strength and has the affinity of wind-based magic.
