Netflix is not strange with its sub-genre teen rom-com highlighted movies and tv series. And The Kissing Booth is one of the teen rom-com films based on high-school life, which is considered as a sexist and regressive look at relationships that reflects the worst highlights of the genre.
The Kissing Booth is often criticized for being preoccupied with sexist rhetoric. The movie mainly focuses on Elle (portrayed by Joey King)'s growing love towards Noah (portrayed by Jacob Elordi). Initially, Elle falls in love with a wrong guy, Noah's brother, who has always been in her life mainly for the physical altercations.
Nevertheless, The Kissing Booth has got many audiences bound with the high-school love story with the mixes of trauma, relationship, friendship, and many other factors. And, Netflix has announced The Kissing Booth 2 on the due date.
When Does The Kissing Booth 2 Come Out On Netflix?
The Kissing Booth has received both pessimistic and optimistic reviews and critics after it first got released on 11 May 2018. Netflix has already announced the production of The Kissing Booth 2 for 2020; however, the official release date of the upcoming movie is not confirmed.
Netflix shared the trailer of The Kissing Booth 2 with vague information on its release date on Instagram. As per the speculations, the movie will premiere in spring, probably around May 2020.

The Kissing Booth 2 will continue as the sequel story of its first part that premiered two years back in 2018. There are several speculations on what the storyline brings to the audiences. It had been rumored that Jacob Elordi would not be leading his role as Noah Flynn, but Jacob has already shattered the talks to reprise his role as Noah in the upcoming movie.
Cast Of The Kissing Booth 2
After Jacob confirmed his reprising role as Noah Flynn in The Kissing Booth 2, there is no doubt about him being the lead role along with Joey King (Elle Evans). Along with them, Molly Ringwald will portray the character of Mrs. Flynn (Jacob's mom), Joel Courtney, as Lee Flynn, and Joshua Daniel Eady as Tuppen.

Along with them, there will be some new faces in the movie. As per Netflix, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez will be joining the cast as Chloe and Marco.
Besides that, there is no confirmation of the return of Meganne Young (Rachel) as Lee Flynn's girlfriend. Jay S Arnold and Vince Marcello co-write the movie, and Vince Marcello himself is in the direction board. Jay, along with Michele Weisler, Andrew Cole-Bulgin, and Edward Glauser, are on the production team for The Kissing Booth 2 (2020).
