That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Suraimu Datta Ken) is a Japanese light novel series based on genres like comedy, fantasy, and Isekai. The light novel series was written by Fuse, and portrayed by Mitz Vah. The light novel series began its serialization on the website called Shōsetsuka ni Narō, between 2013 and 2016.
The light novel was published and licensed by Micro Magazine and Yen Press, respectively. It was made into a manga adaptation by Kodansha with the illustrations provided by Taiki Kawakami.
The light novel transited into an anime adaptation by Eight Bit Inc., which made its premiere from October 2, 2018, to March 19, 2019, comprising a total of 24 episodes. The anime adaptation was directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi, with the assistance provided by Atsushi Nakayama as the assistant director, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu composed the animated series.
The first opening theme song of this anime series was "Nameless Story" by Takuma Terashima, while the first ending theme song was titled "Another colony" by True. The second opening theme song was "Megurumono" by Takuma Terashima, while the second ending theme song was "Little Soldier" by Azusa Tadokoro. The animated series was licensed by Crunchyroll and Funimation, respectively.
An original video animation (OVA) adaptation was supposed to be released on March 29, 2019, comprising with the 11th and 13th bundles of the manga series but was delayed to December 4, 2019. A second OVA was published on July 9, 2019, comprising of the 12th manga volume.
Three more OVAs have also been announced to be released, with the third OVA being published on March 27, 2020, comprising of the 14th manga volume, while the fourth OVA adaptation is going to make its airing on July 9, 2020, containing the 15th manga volume. The fifth OVA will premiere on November 9, 2020, comprising of the 16th manga volume.

After the successful hit of the first season, the second season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime has already been announced.
The second season is a split-cour anime sequel, where the first half will release in October 2020, while the second half will premiere in April 2021. The 2nd season of this anime series is going to be animated by Eight Bit Inc.
Season 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated is said to premier from October 2020. Crunchyroll has also announced that they intend to present a Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Season 2 English name for the TenSura composition.
A short video trailer was also released on the anime's official website, depicting the plot of the 2nd season.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date of the first half of this anime series was postponed and delayed to January 2021, while the second half was shifted to July 2021.
Story Plot Of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2
The story plot of this anime franchise takes place in a fantasy world. It follows the story of Rimuru Tempest, formerly known as Satoru Mikami, as he reincarnates into another world after he got stabbed to death. He reincarnates as a slime monster inside a cave, who can use a unique skill called a predator. It gives him the ability to use the powers of gobbled victims.
He embarks on a journey after meeting Veldora inside the same cave to free his friend from his suffering. After meeting with various monsters along the way, he decides to help them and form a country where monsters and humans can co-exist peacefully.
Season 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated follows Hinata Sakaguchi as the main antagonist and the western Saints Church. In the final episodes of the first installment series, Hinata got shown with a short teaser.

The 2nd season will emphasize a massive battle in the country of Tempest with the kingdom of Farmus. Rimuru might become the true demon lord to save his citizens and his friends.
Season 2 also depicts the arrival of the ten demon lords alongside Veldora, the Storm Dragon.

•Rimuru Tempest
Rimuru Tempest is the main protagonist of this anime series, who got reincarnated as a mighty slime. He acquired various abilities due to the requests he made when he died. Rimuru possesses a unique skill called Devour (Predator), which enables him to gobble anything. He can acquire abilities and items from the devoured victim or objects. He can also use mimics to transform himself or produce mass items that he has swallowed. After the downfall of the Orc Lord, he founded an alliance with many monsters and people living in the vicinity. The partnership was named Jura Tempest Federation. Its a country of monsters in Great Forest of Jura that endeavors co-existence of monsters with other living races.

•Veldora Tempest
Veldora Tempest is a mighty dragon that got sealed inside the cave, where he befriended Rimuru and bestowed him his name. He is also known as the "Storm Dragon." He was sealed inside the cave for eternity by a hero using a unique skill called "Endless Prison." He is a calamity type monster who can demolish anything in his path. He was freed by Rimuru, by letting him join into his storage space, to analyze the endless prison spell to break and release Veldora once and for all.
•Shizue Izawa
Shizue Izawa is a Japanese girl who was summoned into this world by a demon lord called Leon Cromwell. She is also known as Shizu. After the summoning, she seemed to have an affinity with the element fire. She houses a fire spirit named Ifrit inside her body, regardless of her own free will. After she met with Rimuru, they became good friends and saved her from suffering. After her death, she offered her body to Rimuru, and he devoured her, giving him a human form with the appearance of Shizu. He voluntarily accepts Shizu's last wishes and tries his best to redeem himself.
