History Channel's television series, Vikings, has been a top talk since its release seven years back in 2013. The television plots the history of Scandanavian Norsemen who raided most parts of Europe to the Mediterranean and China as well. It also reflects the culture, tradition, and beliefs of the Vikings 'tribe' who believes in Odin and other gods like Thor and Freya.

When Vikings first aired in History channel back on 3 March 2013, there were several challenges regarding whether the series could meet up the background of the Scandanavian Norsemen. However, the cast and crew members' acting credits and Michael Hirst's scriptwriting has not let down the aspiration of viewers and audiences.

Nonetheless, the History Channel's 'Vikings' has been one of the best television series in the current scenario.

History Vikings All Seasons Short Review

When the Australian actor, Travis Fimmel, led the role of great Viking raider 'Ragnar Lothbrok' till season 4, he added flavor to the series with his outstanding acting accolades. Similarly, the supporting roles from Gustaf Skarsgard as 'Floki,' Katheryn Winnick as 'Lagertha,' and Clive Standen as 'Rollo' had a vital role in rocketing the fame of the History series.

In the first season, Ragnar, who is a simple farmer living with his family (Lagertha, Bjorn, and Gyda) in Kattegat (a village in Scandanavia), appears as an ambitious man. Well, no one can deny his ambition, even the Earl of Kattegat, Haraldson. There are several controversies inside Kattegat that Haraldson does not want Ragnar to defy him in raiding to the east.

However, Ragnar had heard the tales about West (probably England). With his ambitious nature, Ragnar already got determined to raid to the West, but he was not sure in himself whether he could find land or not. Ragnar, along with his brother, Rollo, and friend, Floki, preaches their friends and ask them to join their raiding party.

And, with the help of Floki, a boat-builder, Ragnar and his team sails along the vast sea to the West in the hope of finding land. Eventually, they find land in England called 'Northumbria' and get success in their raiding.

When returning to home (Kattegat), Ragnar brings a Christian monk named 'Athelstan' from England, who comes of many uses to him in his future raiding plans.

Similarly, Ragnar deals with several disputes with Earl Haraldson, after which he challenges him in one and one battle. During the battle, he kills Haraldson and becomes a new Earl of Kattegat. On the other hand, Ragnar loses his family as Lagertha leaves him alone due to his infidelity with a Princess named "Aslaug."

The second season of Vikings shows how Ragnar kills King of Denmark "King Horrik" and becomes king. It also further plots his raiding party to England and meets with the Anglo-Saxon King "Ecbert," who appears to be his fellow friend in later seasons.

In the third season, the Viking Warriors help King Ecbert (England) as an ally to annex its tributary Kingdoms like Mercia. In the subsidiary, the series connects Ragnar's fair governance in Kattegat.

The fourth season deals with the raiding of Vikings Warrior to Frankia (now France). However, the French Emperor offers the hand of his daughter, Gisla, to Ragnar's brother, Rollo. Rollo accepts the offer and promises to defend Frankia from his brother.

Ragnar feels betrayed but does not take back his determination to attack France, but he tragically fails. In the second part of season four, Ragnar, along with his cripple son 'Ivar the Boneless' from his second wife 'Aslaug,' goes to England where the Englishmen kill him by throwing him in a snake pit.

As a result, Ragnar's all sons Bjorn Ubbe, Hvitserk, Sigurd, and Ivar collects all the Vikings warriors known as a 'Heathen Army' and avenges their father's death. They also punish Northumbria's King "Ella' with their traditional 'Blood Eagle' method.

Similarly, the fifth season reflects the prophecy of a Viking god 'Seer' who said that the death of Ragnar would turn the world apart. After avenging of Ragnar's death, his son turns on one another. Season five shows the civil war between the sons of Ragnar, which also connects England.

The first part of season 6 of Vikings also shows the war between brothers. Ivar comes with an ally of a Russian Viking Warriors, whereas Bjorn and Ubbe join up the army of Norway under King Harald. The end of the first part leaves the fans with a stunning surprise with the death of Bjorn Ironside and King Harald. It also has a tragic part where the major character, including Lagertha, dies in a hand of Hvitserk, and Bjorn's son dies in an attack by Ivar bodyguards.

The second part of the sixth season of Vikings is yet to come.

When Will Be History Vikings Season 6 Released?

As confirmed by the creator Michael Hirst, Season 6 is the last season of History Channel's Vikings. After the completion of the first part of the sixth season, neither of the sources has revealed the possible date of the return of the second part.

However, concerning the release date of previous parts, Vikings' last part is likely to return in the fall of 2020, i.e., November/December.

What May Happen In Season 6 Part B? Will Bjorn Return?

As the mid-season premiere of Vikings Season 6 has left fans with the shocking death of Bjorn Ironside against the battle with Ivar and the Russian Vikings, fans are waiting to see what could happen in the second part. It's baffling information that Bjorn's death might be a vision rather than a reality.

Similarly, the promo of episode 11 shows the conversation between Ivar and Hvitserk, saying, 'I told you Ivar, you can't kill him,' which probably means the return of Bjorn. Also, we can see the sword of Bjorn Ironside in the promo that ignites the rumors of his return to the series.

Also, Alexander Ludwig, who portrays "Bjorn Ironside," revealed that the audiences would see the version of Bjorn in some form, way, or shape.

Concerning the fact, what could happen in the second part is the interesting things to know. The promo of the final season has bestowed the inclusion of England in the disputes of the Viking Warriors, which is the awaited scene of many fans.

Since the battle between the sons of Ragnar has reached the height, the second part can bring more devastating scenes. Or perhaps, Ivar could tackle the disputes with his brother as he was seen advocating the young prince of Russia against Prince Oleg.

Nonetheless, it is the final season of History Vikings, so for the right reason, the sons of Ragnar might get bonded for the fair governance of Scandanavian Norsemen 'Vikings.'

However, it is the only assumption. For the information, you will have to watch the upcoming episodes of Vikings, which are likely to get released in the fall of this year.

Has Vikings Been A Satisfactory Television Series?

When the storyline came apart from the fourth season of the Vikings, fans have appeared to find something unusual for the series. Since Ragnar Lothbrok's character was well portrayed by the Australian actor Travis Fimmel, many Vikings fans proudly referred to the series in the name of 'Ragnar.'

And, many believe that the portrayal of his sons, Bjorn, Ubbe, Hvitserk, and Ivar are unable to meet the tagline of the Vikings that Travis had created a few years ago. Also, fans seem disappointed by the storylines of Michael Hirst as he emphasized his scripts within the wars between the sons of Ragnar, not outside the world.

Similarly, the death of the major Vikings characters like Ragnar, Lagertha, Floki, and Bjorn has kept the mindset of audiences away from the series which they had not wished to happen.
