Japanese light novel series, 'Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, So I'll Max Out my Defense,' is gaining popularity with the first female lead on the Isekai anime genre. Also known as 'Itai no wa Iya nano de Bōgyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu,' it is authored by Yuumikan while illustrated by Koin.
Silver Link Studios designed the first anime season while Shin Onuma and Mirai Minato directed the series. Fumihiko Shimo composed the series as a scriptwriter and Hirata Kazuya as the character designer.
Bofuri that made its anime debut on 8 January 2020 skyrocket the sales, and there is a demand for the brand new season of this anime. Due to its traction on its first season, the studio decided to pick up on the momentum for releasing the second season.
Who Are Bofuri Major Characters?
Bofuri orbits around the major characters like Kaede Honji (Maple) and her friend Risa Shiramine (Sally), where they play a VR mass multiplayer online game called 'New World Online.'
Since Kaede avoids being injured, she formulates a character named Maple in which she puts all her points into resistance and defense while her friend puts all of her points in agility.

With zero agility, Maple becomes slow, but she unlocks many skills known as Absolute Defense, coupled with many counter skills and immune to all damage.
In addition to Maple's immune to all damage, she also acquires godlike powers, which makes her even unbeatable.
When Is Bofuri Season 2 Release Date?
The first season of Bofuri comprising 12 episodes ended its serialization on 25 March 2020. A second anime season was announced just after the release of the 12th episode on 25 March.
'Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt So I'll Max Out my Defense' Season 2 is anticipated to be released in Fall 2020. The specific date for the release of the second season is not officially announced.
However, the production of this anime series is already under development.
Bofuri Season 2 Story Plot

Bofuri Season 2 will include the characters like Maple and Sally taking on monsters of the game on a much more extensive scale. While defeating monsters along the way, they gain many allies. After overcoming two influential guilds flame Emperors and Holy Sword, Maple's guild gained a lot of admiration from other guild masters. This encouraged her to play more with them.
With the allies Maple made on the first season, including the top two guilds, she goes on a quest with these members for the next level of 'New World Online,' which comprise of level six floor.

Level six of the game will include more terrifying sections where beasts and demons stroll around. As she operates co-operatively with these guild masters, Maple recalls of an irregularity she once underwent in the past. Just when she was gathering supplies with Sally, she ended up triggering a bug in the game. The admins of the game have been thinking many things for Maple and her guildmates, which will prolong many different interesting storylines.
When a new competition pops up in the game, Maple decides to go with her other two friends but wants Sally to stay back this time because she wanted to enjoy the earlier levels of the game. In the process, she recruits new allies as well as making the game more interesting for her. She even chooses a very hard difficulty quest for this event.
