What Is The Story Plot Of Bleach Season 2?

(Note: Before you read further, please note that there are major spoilers ahead.)

The 2nd season of Bleach comprises the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, which unveils striking info about Ichigo's past, in addition to the new organization called the 'Wanderreich' that tries to disturb the peace of Soul Society. It also unveils the mystery of impact that exposes Uryu Ishida and other Quincy's relationship with the Soul Society.

The Thousand-Year Blood War starts when the peace is suddenly disrupted when warning trumpets boom through the Soul Society. The Tenants quickly vanishes without a trace, alongside the hollows in Hueco Mundo, and the cause of that is unknown. Meanwhile, a sinister shadow is also stretching itself towards Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town.

The 'Wandenreich,' which interprets as the Invisible Empire, is a mysterious society of the Quincy. A thousand years ago, Quincy lost the battle with the Shinigami. They fled the battlefield after their loss and went somewhere, creating a hiding place. They have been preserving their time while slowly accumulating their power.

When a perplexing group of warriors calling themselves the Wandenreich attacks, Kurosaki Ichigo travels to Hueco Mundo to assist his companion 'Nel Tu.' Yes, this beautiful former 3 Espada from Season 1 is more-than alive and makes few appearances in the manga.

When the Wandenreich takes the aggression to Soul Society, an all-out war altercation between the Shinigami and Quincy bursts out. The endurance of the Soul Society is put to the test, and Ichigo must persevere super-intense exercise to have an opportunity to attack back.

Who Are The Main Characters For Bleach Season 2?

As always, Kurosaki Ichigo is the main protagonist for the upcoming 2nd season of Bleach.

Ichigo is accompanied by his friends from his hometown, members from the Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo teammates. When the fights against the Wanderreich bursts out, it's up to Ichigo and his friends to stop the battle that's going to happen, which will disrupt the entire balance in the world.

On the other side, it's quite perplexing that the antagonist for the upcoming season includes Ishida Uryuu, and the main villain is the son of the Soul King and leader of the Quincy faction, Yhwach. This time on the bright side for Ichigo, Aizen helps him.

Yhwach had used reishi to hibernate in the shadow area of Seireitei after the war with the Shinigami. Gathering their strength, they beckoned and returned themselves as the Wandenreich (Invisible Empire), ultimately subduing Hueco Mundo after Aizen's defeat.

Having exposed themselves, they announced war on Soul Society, with Yhwach intending to destroy the Soul Society while trying to assimilate his father the Soul King and trying to reshape all of the existence for the survival of their own into a new federation.

Some of our favorite characters may not return anymore, including Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto. But, it unveils the Bankai of most of the captains. So, be sure to check the second season of Bleach when it's out in 2021.
