Vicente Fernandez Jr is a Mexican respected singer and artist who came into the limelight after being kidnapped in 1998 by an organized crime group known as Los Mocha Finger. It was reported that the kidnappers chopped off his two fingers to warn his family to release the ransom money.

As a result, his family didn’t seek help from authorities and his father handed over 3.2 million to them for the release of him. Later, some of his kidnappers were arrested and sentenced to 50 years behind bars.
