Tory Lanez was accused of ripping off The Queen of Pop, Madonna’s 1985 hit, Into the Grove. The Canadian rapper Tory was claimed to have sampled Madonna’s classic song for his track, ‘Pluto's Last Comet,’ which was one of his latest 80s inspired albums, Alone at Prom, released on 10 December.
Madonna left a comment on his Instagram posts claiming that he used her song illegally and said, “Read your messages for illegal usage of my song get into the grove!”
The song, Into the Groove by Madonna was featured in the comedy-drama film Desperately Seeking Susan, where Madonna also starred in. According to Spotify, Into the grove was written by Madonna and Stephen Bray, and the song also appeared on the reissue of her 1984 album Like a Virgin. And the new song, Pluto’s Last Comet, is credited to be written by Tory Lanez with Chazzz Music and Orlando Williamson in the production.
