Who Is Tim Minchin Married To? Marriage and Relationship

Tim had a crush on Jodi Aitkin when he was just 8. He looked up her address in the White Pages to find out where she lived, but he neither told nor kissed her.

Tim Minchin and Sarah were first met at University in Perth in 1993. Sarah is the social worker and primary children carer. Tim was just 17 when he Met Sarah. They became good friends and started talking about relationships. They had a three-hour lunch in Boston. Tim didn’t feel like he was getting a crush on her.

After being in a long-term relationship, the couple got hitched in 2002 in Perth, and they moved to Melbourne.

Mamamia reports that Tim decided that Sarah is the right person and monogamy is the right idea. Tim always wanted a family which had more priority over all the other stuff. Minchin admitted that being married does not come without its challenges.

The couple was battling with poverty and renting at that time. Sarah was wandering around London with seven months' worth of fetus in her guts, and Tim was up battling with Edinburgh.

The couple was blessed with two children: Son Caspar Minchin and daughter Violet Minchin.

The duo welcomed their first child in London in November 2006. Sarah and Tim’s journey from their early days in Melbourne to their first child's birth was captured in Rockn Roll Nerd. Rockn Roll Nerd is a feature documentary made by the couple's close friend Rhian Skirving, released in 2008.

Tim Mentioned in The Guardian that:

"We have been together 19 years. I was 17 when I met her. Yeah, the sacrifice of not being able to shag other women is a full-on sacrifice. Because I really, really like women. And I haven't had loads of partners. So that's still really in there, that desire. But there is no way I would risk not being able to live with my kids. It's bullshit. There is no way. Lucky it was all locked in before this world [music] came to seduce me. So I'm basically un-seduceable in a really nice way. Not because I don't want to shag all these women. I desperately do. But I'm just, like, 'Look, I'd give anything to get nude with you right now. Except for what I've got. I wouldn't give that."

Later, Tim wanted to have another child, but he thought that would be unfair to his wife. Sarah had already given up her social worker job to be a full-time mother and support her husband's career. There are no grandparents around to look after their children, and he himself can't give time to family.

Its already been 26 years of their married life, and the couple was spending quality time of their life together.
