After seventeen years of the married life, Aleece Dimas filed a divorce paper against Tim Commerford on 28 November 2018 in Los Angeles County. Dimas asked the physical custody of the two children as well as the spousal support from the 52-year-old rocker.

Besides, Commerford released a statement citing, 'After 17 years of marriage to Aleece Dimas, I am saddened to announce our divorce.' She further stated:

"This decision was made after much careful thought and consideration. I want to send my deepest appreciation to my family and friends who have supported us through these changes. We remain committed and loving parents to our two boys."

The former lovebirds have not legally been dismantled; however, they lead an estranged relationship, as of 2020.
