Thomas Ian Griffith is an American actor, producer, writer, and martial artist who has starred in films and on television. He is best known for his role as Terry Silver in the 1989 film The Karate Kid Part III.
Griffith was born on 18 March 1962 in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, to parents Mary Ann (nee O’Neil) and Thomas Griffith. He turned down several offers to portray Terry Silver in Cobra Kai (2018), citing his retirement from acting, and it doesn’t seem to be the case now.

They are all grown-up now and returned as the stars in the Cobra Kai series. Later, in the show's third season, Johnny’s sensei, John Kreese (Martin Kove), made his return.
The return of Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) for the show’s fourth season can be seen in the latest teaser trailer dropped for season four of the series on 27 May 2021.
The teaser showing the actor’s silhouette narrates, “Man can’t stand, he can’t fight. Man can’t breathe, he can’t fight. Man can’t see, he can’t fight. Extreme situations require extreme measures.” The clip then ends with an ominous line popping up on the screen – “Now the real pain begins.”
