In mid-July 2019, LinkedIn's bug allowed users to create non-existing job postings to apply, which also included the post for Sundar Pichai's role as the CEO of Google. The founder of the Dutch company, Flexwerven, Michel Rijners, approached the LinkedIn issue with a message 'LinkedIn jobs, we have a problem.'

Michel also proved the issue by creating the posts for the CEO of Google and LinkedIn, which appeared on Google Jobs later.

With a tweet, Michel elaborated that the users were eligible to create the job postings for free, which even appeared to be posted by the established companies on LinkedIn. Similarly, he alerted 'phishing and identity fraud' by those fake job postings on LinkedIn.

Later, the head of LinkedIn's trust and safety, Paul Rockwell mentioned that they had already got rid of those posts also added LinkedIn's works on resolving the issues.
