It's tough to lose the loved ones, and sharing the story might not be up to everyone's benchmark. However, the American actor, Steve Buscemi, has come forth with his tragic story of losing his longterm wife.
Steve spoke in a rare interview with GQ and revealed that his spouse Jo Andres, a well-known filmmaker, and producer, battled with ovarian cancer before her death in 2019.
Steve further mentioned that he could not explain how much pain Jo went through due to ovarian cancer. Later, he cleaned up their Brooklyn, New York's home as he felt it too big to live alone, he started to GQ.
Jo Andres was first diagnosed with cancer back in 2015. She tried out chemotherapy that remitted for a few periods; however, the disease returned after a couple of years in 2017. Later, she lost her life in 2019. Steve mentioned seeing Jo losing her life was the hardest thing that he has ever experienced.
He stated:
"The pain was the hardest thing. People who are going through that, it's painful. It's painful to die from cancer. There's just no way around it.”

Steve and Jo initiated their wedding after they dated for a few years, having first met in 1983. During their relationship, they lived in the same neighborhood in New York City in the East Village. They later became well-known as Steve got himself into the comedy shows at the time.
