Sheila Cecilia Escovedo, better known under her stage name, Sheila E., is an American percussionist, singer, and actress who got famous for her unique singing sensations.

Being the daughter of famous musician Pete Escovedo, she became one of the top female musicians in the 1980s due to her unique drumming skills and Latin rhythms.

Sheila E Was Engaged To PRINCE

According to hollywoodreporter.com. Sheila's former fiance PRINCE passed away on 22 April 2016. Sheila disclosed that she was adapting to her former fiance's loss by remembering the days she spent with the legendary artist.

The 63-year-old artist mentioned that the two never wedded; however, they had a long collaboration. She also quoted:

"Thirty-eight years of him and I being together, there's just so many memories good and bad," "It's a pit in my stomach and I'm sad and then try to think of something that made me laugh so I can stop hurting."

Sheila is now mourning for her former fiance and the time that she spent with him.

Speaking about their relationship, Sheila met PRINCE at a concert backstage in 1978, when she was performing with her dad. After becoming friends for years, Sheila later served as a drummer in PRINCE's band. While serving in his band, she became the musical director during the tours from 1987 to 1989.
