It's Official. Shantel Jackson has split with boyfriend Nelly after six years of relationship.
The big news of their split was out via Instagram when one of the followers asked Shantel:
“R u [and] Nelly still together? I love seeing u guys together.”
She responded to the question, writing: “No we’re not….. Just friends.”
While both Shantel and Nelly have not publicly announced their split, it seems that it is really over for them since Shantel has already labeled their relationship as “friends.”
The pair reportedly got together in 2014 after being introduced through a mutual friend.
But it is unbelievable how the couple hit the dead-end in their love life, as in one of the interviews when they were still together, dating back to October last year with Entertainment Tonight. Nelly said of having such a great time and a good understanding of each other whilst in their relationship, as he also gushed about how “sweet, beautiful” his girlfriend, Jackson, is.
He added some of the marriage talks with Shantel, saying: “We’re working towards it. When we know, I’ll tell you.”

Whilst Shantel and Nelly enjoyed six years of dating life together, Shantel and Nelly were never really engaged, married, or had any kids or any of the sort other than dating each other with utmost love for each other.

During a sit-down talk with Entertainment Tonight, Nelly said about his relationship with Jackson to be going stronger than ever each time. He said, “Being friends first, I think is something important,” to move on for romance, which is the same situation as theirs.
He also noted starting off from friendship is something “genuine” to have a better relationship with your significant other. He said that when “you come in it genuinely, and you enjoy just being around that person, that’s important.”

Prior to having dated Nelly, Shantel Jackson was engaged to a professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather. Unfortunately, their relationship did not last long as they parted ways, ending with a messy split even involving the lawful problems.
Their split was not even near to being amicable as Jackson filed a lawsuit against Mayweather for assault, battery, defamation, and invasion of privacy (for allegedly releasing information about an abortion she had on his social media), as per the court documents obtained by The Blast. She also accused him of stealing close to $3 million in jewelry following their breakup, which included $2.5 million diamond ring, $250,000 10-carat diamond earrings, a $32,000 Chanel watch, a $100,000 diamond bracelet, a $20,000 diamond heart necklace, and a $21,000 Louis Vuitton lock necklace with additional $100,000 luxury clothes, shoes, and purses.
Nonetheless, of the allegations being the truth or not, Floyd denied all of the allegations made against him.
After denying the claims, Floyd counter-sued Shantel for using his properties (credit cards and other cash) without his permission and also for illegally recording a tape of their face-to-face and other electronic conversations. Mayweather said of the illegal recordings done by Jackson to prevent having dirt on herself after their split, as per his statement.
Mayweather added:
“At least some of Jackson’s superstitious tapings were recorded while Mayweather and Jackson were engaged to be married but Jackson, unbeknownst to Mayweather, was attempting to construct a lawsuit against Mayweather should she decide she preferred its potential to a potential marriage.”
But Jackson claimed to have recorded those tapes for her safety by obtaining evidence of his crimes as he urges the court to allow her to move her case forward, overthrowing Mayweather’s lawsuit.
The pair split back in early 2014, which was confirmed after Mayweather told MLive.com’s Josh Slagter:
“You always want a strong, beautiful woman that you can share your everything with. But I have to go my separate way. She’s focusing her career in L.A., which is acting. And I’m focusing on my career, which is boxing. Sometimes people can outgrow one another, but we’re still friends.”
Their relationship may have ended with the aforementioned talk, but it was not the all since some spicy rumors followed their relationship. The rumors stated Mayweather taking all his gifts and possessions back from his former girlfriend Jackson given to her whilst in their relationship.
