Recently, Shailene Woodley, the Big Little Lies actress, has spoken about her scary health situation, which almost put an end to her acting career. She revealed to the New York Times that she dealt with her 'degraded health' while shooting the Divergent films.
In an interview with the magazine, she revealed:
"I haven’t spoken much about this yet publicly, and I will one day, but I was very, very sick in my early 20s. While I was doing the “Divergent” movies and working hard, I also was struggling with a deeply personal, very scary physical situation."
Shailene was sick and was not feeling well during the time of Divergent, which also halted her aspirations to star in several other entertainment projects. She mentioned she said no to many opportunities, which later was overtaken by her peers and climbed the ladder of limelight and success.
Nevertheless, the Insurgent actress is now in sound health. For a few last years, she has been focusing on her mental health. Even though she let go of some of the credits after Divergent, Shailene has been working hard from her side in the industry.
