The 46-year-old Long-Island based music producer opened a rehab center, The Heavenly Center Studio City, California, on 1 August 2020 with Steve Lobel and national recovery advocate Nick Morgan.
Storch revealed the story of his new rehab center through an Instagram post where he posted a video of Lobel and Morgan at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. He wrote:
"I spent eight years addicted to drugs and was able to get sober and rebuild my life.' 'Now it's my turn to help save lives with my cannabis for healing rehab @theheavenlycenterofficial."
Storch himself was a victim of drug addiction, and his road to recovery was well-documented. Talking about his own experience, he mentioned, 'I was the most dangerous kind of drug addict.' Furthermore, he added:
"I was a drug addict who had millions and millions of dollars in the bank, ready to spend on drugs, and not have to go to work, and not have to worry about anything… The reason why that’s the most dangerous is that if you don’t run out of it… Really, usually, people stay alive because they run out of money.”
Nevertheless, Scott Storch is well-recovered now, and his effort to put an end to the drug addiction is praiseworthy.
