Punchgate Scandal With Ryan Thomas, Roxanne's Apology Not Good Enough?

Back in 2018, Roxanne Pallett was a participant of the Celebrity Big Brother and was living in Big Brother's house alongside other cast members, including Kirstie Alley, Nick Leeson, Sally Morgan, Gabby Allen, Ryan Thomas, Jermaine Pennant, Rodrigo Alves, and more.

In an episode of the season, Roxanne was chatting up with Sally when Ryan Thomas came out of nowhere and started throwing air punches. A few of the punches struck Roxanne, and she immediately called him a "woman beater."

She left the room and moved to the shared bedroom- where she had a chat with the producers of the show. Roxanne- who had been a victim of domestic violence in the past- suggested the producers eliminate Ryan from home. However, Ryan was only issued a warning and apologized to Roxanne for his actions.

Roxanne eventually left home, but the drama was far from over. She faced a backlash from the internet community for overreacting to harmless acts of Ryan Thomas. Roxanne claimed that she didn't leave her home for nearly two months after the "punchgate scandal" in fears of being attacked physically or verbally. She even had to take the help of counseling and therapy to overcome suicidal thoughts.

The actress eventually accepted that she had overreacted even issued a formal apology to Ryan. However, the apology didn't help much in boosting Roxanne's image, as many claimed that it was a mere PR stunt by the actress.
